On December 16 – 18, 2014 Minsk (Republic of Belarus) hosted a report conference of the project “Be-Safe – Belarusian Road Safety Network” participants of the program Tempus (Project Number: 544181-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-IT-TEMPUS-JPCR) in respect to the issues for coordination and control over the training process of the Master’s degree students in the first semestre of an academic year 2014-2015 for the training programs developed in local universities within the project.
The following people were at the seminar: Luca Persia, Gabriele Giustiniani (CTL), Joanne Barnes (LOUGH), Vladimir Grabaurov, Heorhi Viarshyna, Alexander Bakhanovich, Denis Kapsky, Eugene Kot, Anatoli Andreev, Valery Machalau, Aliaksandr Kustenka (BNTU), Siarhei Azemsha, Anatoli Mikhalchenka, Siarhei Skirkouski (BelSUT), Vasili Shuts, Valery Kasyanik (BrSTU), Aleksandr Tsygankow, Volha Yarchak, Iryna Paliashchuk, Bahdan Fryshchyn (BSEU).
During the meeting dd. 2014.16.12 the following issues were considered: compliance of training schedule for Master’s degree students training programs in local universities; ensuring the required training quality level; readiness of the Master’s degree students to pass the first tests and examinations; support and filling of the project website content; preparation of information materials (brochures, inf. sheets) for those who enter the Master’s degree program in 2015; joining of Belarusian universities participating in the project to the European network of universities.
Also the partners from CTL and Loughborough conducted one-day seminars for Master’s degree students, students and professors: 17.12. - in BNTU, 18.12. - in BSEU. The participants were lectured and practically trained for actual topics: “Overview of the main directions of international research and development in the field of road safety over the last 20 years”, “Basic elements of vehicle safety”, “Road safety management: different data for different purposes”, “Traffic Safety Infrastructure Management”, Case Study: “Road safety: impact evaluation”.
